Bob Black Field / Fulton stadium
The new Fulton stadium celebrates its thirteenth season in 2024 as the home of the Falcons with a new multi-colored LED lighting system. The new football stadium opened on September 1, 2012 with a 43-7 win over Austin-East. The $1.2 million facility replaced the old Fulton Stadium which was opened in 1965. Fulton Stadium seats 3,277 on the home side, and 741 in the new visitor’s stands for a total capacity of 4,018. This is an increase of 424 seats over the old stadium. Visitors have not had seating behind the visitor’s bench at Fulton since the mid-1980s. Other features of the stadium include a 600 square foot press box, fencing around the outside of the track, a new ticket booth and storage building, and entrance gates behind the stadium. The artificial turf surface debuted in 2016 as part of Pilot’s “Field of Dreams” program. Falcon Field was renamed “Bob Black Field,” in honor of the coach and athletic director on September 12, 1986. In the dedication game, Fulton defeated Alcoa 10-7 on Mike Potter’s overtime field goal. Fulton’s best season home record is 9-0 during both the 2013 and 2014 seasons. The Falcons compiled a record of 145-100-3 in the old Fulton Stadium.
