Fulton vs. Rutledge- The Series

Fulton and Rutledge will meet for the sixth time tonight at Optimist Field. Fulton has won all five previous meetings in the series, and has won both games played at Rutledge. The series dates back to 1995 when both schools were members of Region 2-3A. Fulton won the first meeting in the series 21-14 on September 29, 1995. The Falcons led 15-14 after one quarter in the game on the strength of two Brian Tate touchdowns. The offensive fireworks slowed down during the rest of the game, as the Falcons finally put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter on a 27-yard touchdown pass to Sean Heath from Falcon QB Wayne Austin. The Falcons finished the 1995 season in second place in Region 2-3A, and upset Seymour in the first round of the TSSAA playoffs.

The site is growing everyday and is a great source of information on the Falcons. Surfers can access current team news and updates, along with a large photo gallery. Historical information about the Falcons can be found also. The website is also featuring a brief video clip of highlights from Fulton’s state championship victory over Covington.
